POLVA, two companies: POLVA SAS in France and POLVA TN in Tunisia

POLVA is now an SAS registered with the Montpellier Trade and Companies Register since 30 September 2026. The company is led by its two founding partners: Dhia Souei, President and cognitive science researcher, and Ayoub Mcharek, data and AI expert.

POLVA now operates through two companies: POLVA SAS in Montpellier, which carries the platform, research and business development in France and internationally, and POLVA TN in Djerba, which runs deployments in Tunisia, including Djerba Destination, with its operational team.

Selected by Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, POLVA joins the Montpellier delegation led by Michaël Delafosse and Clare Hart, with the Occitanie Region and AD'OCC, from 13 to 16 October.

Meet us on 13 and 14 October at MTL connecte (Printemps numérique), on the Métropole booth. The theme of this 8th edition, sovereignty, is at the heart of our project: enabling cities, tourism offices and universities to run their own digital service, under their own brand, while keeping control of their data. The programme continues in Sherbrooke with Distriq and 3IT.

At the International Summit on Municipal Innovation (SIIViM) in Mont-Tremblant, POLVA is presented alongside J'allume ma rue: two complementary solutions serving local authorities.

The FrancoTech Innovation Competition recognises the best digital innovations in the French-speaking world. Held in Phnom Penh alongside the 20th Francophonie Summit, it will conclude with a final and award ceremony on 15 November 2026.

Research: off to Phnom Penh for the Asia-Pacific Francophone Scientific Cycle

Dhia Souei, POLVA co-founder and PhD candidate in cognitive science at the Epsylon Laboratory (Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 University), presents the paper “Dimensional Approach to Urban Transport Psychological Categorization: A Case Study in Montpellier”.

The Cycle is organised by the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie and Cambodia's Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, with the support of Expertise France and the French Embassy in Cambodia. This research on urban mobility directly shapes the design of POLVA.

Djerba Destination in production

Djerba Destination, the official platform of the destination, has been in production since 1 June 2026: iOS and Android apps, web app and back office, serving the tourism ecosystem of an island welcoming 1.3 million visitors a year.

Thanks to the Djerba DMO, the first territory to place its trust in us. Next challenge: deploying the model to other territories.

Station T / Gigamed Innovation: a POLVA demonstrator in Cap d'Agde

POLVA has been shortlisted in the Station T / Gigamed Innovation call for projects, led by the Hérault Méditerranée urban community.

The project: a territorial demonstrator in an area of Cap d'Agde, with a scoping and configuration phase followed by a real-life test during the 2027 summer season.
